Return, Exchange and Refund Policy

Our policy

Each Eka Indraani saree is carefully inspected before dispatch. Because sarees are personal-wear products and many pieces are limited or one-of-a-kind, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, dislike of colour, or a difference in personal expectation, subject always to the customer’s statutory rights.

Eligible concerns

We will assist if the product received is:

·    damaged or defective when delivered;

·    different from the product ordered;

·    missing an item included in the confirmed order; or

·    materially different from its description on the website.

Report within 48 hours

Please contact us at ekaindraani@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 97457 70337 within 48 hours of recorded delivery. Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, clear photographs, and a continuous parcel-opening video showing the sealed package, shipping label and the product.

The opening video helps us verify transit damage, missing contents or an incorrect product. If a customer cannot reasonably provide a video, we will still consider other reliable evidence and the circumstances of the complaint. The absence of a video will not by itself remove any remedy required under applicable law.

Conditions for return

·    The saree must be unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered and unperfumed.

·    Original tags, packaging, blouse piece and any accompanying items must be intact.

·    The saree must not have been cut, stitched, fall-and-pico finished, tasselled or otherwise customised after purchase.

·    Do not send any item back until the return is approved and return instructions are provided.

What is not considered a defect

·    Minor variations or irregularities characteristic of handloom or handcrafted textiles.

·    Slight colour differences caused by photography, lighting or screen settings.

·    Minor variation from approximate measurements stated on the product page.

·    Normal slubs, weave joins or yarn irregularities that form part of the textile’s handmade character.

Resolution

After reviewing the evidence and, where required, inspecting the returned product, an eligible claim will be resolved by offering the customer a replacement of the same product (subject to availability), an exchange for another product of equal value, a credit note, or a refund to the original payment method. For a genuinely damaged, defective, misdescribed or incorrect product, the customer may choose among the remedies reasonably available, subject to applicable law. If the chosen replacement costs more, the difference must be paid; if it costs less, the balance may be issued as a credit note or refunded, as agreed.

For an approved eligible claim, Eka Indraani will bear reasonable return-shipping costs. Any approved refund will include the product price and any shipping amount that applicable law requires us to refund. Refunds will be initiated within 5–7 business days after approval or receipt and inspection of the returned product, as applicable. Banks and payment providers may require additional processing time.

Non-returnable items

·    Products altered or customised at the customer’s request, except where the alteration itself is defective.

·    Gift cards or credit notes, except where required by law.

·    Items marked “Final Sale” or “Weaving Variation”, except where damaged, defective, incorrect or materially misdescribed.

·    Products returned without approval or not meeting the stated condition requirements.

International orders

For international orders, please report an eligible concern within 48 hours with the evidence listed above. Return logistics and the appropriate resolution will be confirmed case by case. Customs duties and taxes paid to local authorities are generally not refundable by Eka Indraani. This does not affect remedies required by the law applicable to the transaction.

Eligibility and account information

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law. You agree to provide complete and accurate contact, billing and delivery information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Products and handcrafted variations

We make reasonable efforts to describe and photograph each product accurately. Colours may vary slightly because of lighting, photography and screen settings. Handwoven and handcrafted sarees may show small irregularities in weave, texture, selvedge, motifs or finish. These are natural characteristics of the craft and are not defects. Any material variation known to us will be stated on the product page.

Measurements, where stated as approximate, may vary slightly. The blouse piece, where included, will be mentioned on the relevant product page. Accessories shown in photographs are not included unless specifically stated.

Prices, taxes and payments

Prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees unless another currency is expressly shown. Applicable taxes and shipping charges, if any, will be displayed before payment. Payment must be completed through the payment methods available at checkout. We do not store complete card or banking credentials; payments are processed by authorised payment service providers.

Order confirmation and acceptance

An order is treated as confirmed after successful payment and issuance of an order-confirmation email or message. An automated acknowledgement does not prevent us from cancelling an order if the product is unavailable, the price or description contains a genuine error, payment verification fails, or fraud is suspected. If we cancel a paid order, the amount collected will be refunded to the original payment method.

Invoice

A tax invoice, where applicable, will be sent to the email address provided with the order, ordinarily when the order is processed or dispatched. Customers should ensure that their email address and billing information are correct.

Cancellation

A customer may request cancellation before dispatch by contacting ekaindraani@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 97457 70337. Cancellation cannot be guaranteed once packing or dispatch has begun. Approved cancellations will be refunded to the original payment method. Payment gateway or shipping charges already incurred may be deducted only where legally permissible and clearly disclosed.

Intellectual property and permitted use

All website content, including the Eka Indraani name and logo, photographs, product names, descriptions, graphics and designs, belongs to or is licensed to Eka Indraani. It may not be copied, reproduced, republished, sold or commercially used without prior written permission. You may use the website only for lawful, personal shopping purposes.

Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably beyond our control, including natural disasters, transport disruption, strikes, government action, network failure or other force-majeure events. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.

Governing law, complaints and contact

Governing law and jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer law, courts at Ernakulam, Kerala will have jurisdiction.

Shipping and Delivery Policy

Order confirmation
An order is confirmed when payment has been successfully completed and an order-confirmation email or message has been issued. If payment is debited but confirmation is not received, please contact ekaindraani@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 97457 70337 with the payment reference.

Processing and dispatch

Confirmed ready-stock orders are usually processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days. Business days exclude Sundays and public holidays. Customisation, pre-orders, launches, sale periods or exceptional circumstances may require additional processing time; any different timeline will be stated on the product page or communicated to the customer.

Invoice and tracking

A tax invoice, where applicable, will be emailed to the address provided with the order, ordinarily when the order is processed or dispatched. Once dispatched, tracking details will be sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp, depending on the information and service available.

Delivery estimates

Dispatch time is separate from delivery time. Estimated delivery after dispatch is 3–7 business days within India and 7–21 business days for international orders, depending on the destination and courier service. These are estimates, not guarantees. Remote-area, weather, customs, festival-season or carrier delays may extend delivery.

Shipping charges and international duties

Shipping charges, if applicable, will be displayed at checkout. For international deliveries, import duties, taxes, customs charges and local handling fees are payable by the customer unless expressly stated otherwise. Customs delays are outside our direct control.

Address changes, failed delivery and damaged parcels

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and reachable telephone number. Address changes may be requested before dispatch but cannot be guaranteed once processing has begun. Additional charges arising from an incorrect address, refusal or repeated failed delivery may be payable by the customer, except where the failure is attributable to Eka Indraani or the carrier.

If the parcel appears visibly damaged or tampered with, please refuse delivery where reasonably possible and contact us immediately. Otherwise, record a continuous opening video and report any eligible issue within 48 hours in accordance with our Return, Exchange and Refund Policy.

Lost shipments
If tracking does not update or the parcel appears lost, contact us at ekaindraani@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 97457 70337. We will coordinate with the courier and provide an appropriate replacement or refund where the shipment is confirmed lost, subject to applicable law
